I'm Not Your Baby... Puh-leez!

I'm Not Your Baby
Performed by U2 and Sinéad O'Connor
Music by U2 / Lyrics by Bono
From Wim Wenders' The End of Violence OST

It's a beautiful day today
Everything is going my way
Even the words doing what I say
Oh babe, got to get away

To be impossible
Isn't that difficult
In the city you're invisible
When you come from a small town

Everything is alright
Everything is alright
I'm not your baby please

A tourist in a traffic jam
Babysham handycam
I'm not your mother, you're not my man
I'm not your baby

Don't treat me like I'm a trick
I won't treat you like you're a prick
Don't need no doctor, I'm not ill
I'm not your baby

Everything is alright
Everything is alright
I'm not your baby please

Cut out the poetry
Let's hit the main artery
No time for a tourniquet
Let the colours all run out on me

You brought me all kinds of goods
Now my heart is so full up it hurts
It's heavy as a shopping bag
It's full of things I should give back

Everything is alright
Everything is alright
I'm not your baby please

I'm not your baby
I'm not your baby

Don't want you to cover me
Smother me or mother me
I like to feel this incomplete
I'm not your baby

Everything is alright
Everything is alright
I'm not your baby please

Bono [while Sinéad sings, *Feels so good, feels so good*]:
Feel not dizzie just busy
Didn't drink nothing fizzy
No pills to feel easy
Don't know what got in to me
Daylight is a kinda robbery
The night is your geography
So you're not white, you're pink and rosy
You could be right but you're way above me
Me I'm in recovery a star of pornography
I'm a tourist there's a lot to see
You don't like the photographs of me
So you've got a lot to say
You don't sleep around but sometimes you stray
You don't believe often times you pray
For something
What is it babe?

Don't treat me like I'm a trick
Won't treat you like you're a prick
Don't need no doctor, I'm not sick
I'm not your baby

Everything is alright
Everything is alright
I'm not your baby please

I'm not your baby
I'm not your baby
I'm not your baby
I'm not your baby
I'm not your baby
I'm not your baby
I'm not your baby

The State I'm In

This is the verse that plays inside my head, in auto-reverse.

Tama ka, A***, may mali sa atin. Maling-mali.

Tara, punta na tayong mental.

I call out to anyone
But not too loud
I'm not ready yet
To share the phone or TV set
It's long way to come
Out of this one

Ilang Cuts Sa Soundtrack Ng Sunday Morning Ko

Sacrifice
Sinead O'Connor [Two Rooms: Celebrating the Songs
of Elton John and Bernie Taupin]
download Sacrifice

it's a human sign
when things go wrong
when the scent of her lingers
and temptation's strong

into the boundaries
of each married man
sweet deceit comes callin'
and negativity lands

cold, cold heart
hard done by you
some things look better baby
just passin' through

and it's no sacrifice
just a simple word
it's two hearts living
in two seperate worlds
and it's no sacrifice
no sacrifice
no sacrifice at all

mutual misunderstandings
after the fact
sensitivity builds a prison
in the final act

we lose direction
no stone unturned
no tears to damn you
when jealousy burns

cold, cold heart
hard done by you
some things look better baby
just passing through

and it's no sacrifice
just a simple word
it's two hearts living
in two seperate worlds
but it's no sacrifice
no sacrifice
no sacrifice at all

I gave my heart
I gave my heart
I gave my heart
I gave my heart
I gave my heart
I gave my heart
I gave my heart
I gave my heart

The Man Who Sold The World
Nirvana [MTV Unplugged in New York]
download The Man Who Sold The World

We passed upon the stair, we spoke in was and when
Although I wasn't there, he said I was his friend
Which came as a surprise, I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone, a long long time ago

Oh no, not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With The Man Who Sold The World

I laughed and shook his hand, and made my way back home
I searched for a foreign land, for years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazeless stair, we walked a million hills
I must have died alone, a long long time ago

Who knows? Not me
I never lost control
You're face to face
With the Man who Sold the World

Who knows? not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the Man who Sold the World

Uninvited
Alanis Morissette [City of Angels OST]
download Uninvited

Like anyone would be
I am flattered by your fascination with me
Like any hot blooded woman
I have simply wanted an object to crave
But you're not allowed
You're uninvited
An unfortunate slight

Must be strangely exciting
To watch the stoic squirm
Must be somewhat heartening
To watch shepard meet shepard
But you're not allowed
You're uninvited
An unfortunate slight

Like any uncharted territory
I must seem greatly intriguing
You speak of my love like
You have experienced like mine before
But this is not allowed
You're uninvited
An unfortunate slight

I don't think you unworthy
I need a moment to deliberate

download At My Most Beautiful

I've found a way to make you
I've found a way
A way to make you smile

I read bad poetry
Into your machine
I save your messages
Just to hear your voice
You always listen carefully
To awkward rhymes
You always say your name,
Like I wouldn't know it's you,
At your most beautiful

I've found a way to make you
I've found a way
A way to make you smile

At my most beautiful
I count your eyelashes, secretly
With every one, whisper I love you
I let you sleep
I know you're closed eye watching me,
Listening
I thought I saw a smile

I've found a way to make you
I've found a way
A way to make you smile

Untold Stories: Ume-MTV Na Feeling May Social Relevance

Habang ngarag-ngaragan sa pagtipa sa keyboard dahil naghahabol ng deadline, may music sa background. Naka-shuffle mode ang media player kaya nakakagulantang ang mga tumutugtog--from Regina Spekpektor to Avenue Q to E-Heads to High School Musical to Andrea Bocelli...

I am living while I am living to the father I will pray

Only he knows how we get through everyday

All the hike in the price

Arm and leg we have to pay

While our leaders play

All I see people a rip and a rob and a grab

Tief never love fe see tief wid long bag

No love for the people who a suffer real bad

Another toll to the poll may God help we soul

What is to stop the youths from get out of control

Full up of education yet no own no payroll

The clothes on my back have countless eyehole.

I could go on and on the full has never been told

I am living while I am living to the father I will pray

Only he knows how we get through everyday

With all the hike in the price

Arm and leg we have to pay

While our leaders play

Who can afford to run will run

But what about those who can't they will have to stay

Opportunity a scarce, scarce commodity

In these times I say: When mama spend her last and send you go class

Never you ever play

It's a competitive world for low budget people,

Spending a dime while earning a nickel

With no regards to who it may tickle; My cup is full to the brim

I could go on and on the full has never been told

I am living while I am living to the father I will pray

Only he knows how we get through everyday

With all the hike in the price

Arm and leg we have to pay

While our leaders play

Punyemas. Ang cliche. Panahon pa ni Marcos, cliche na 'tong sentimiento de bobo na 'to. Kaso until now wala pa ring nagbabago.

Sinead O'Connor's Cover Of Phil Coulter's *The Shores Of The Swilly*

Sinead O'Connor sings *The Shores Of The Swilly* in Phil Coulter's new album *Lake Of Shadows.*

This is just of the many collaborations of these two icons of Irish music. Earlier, Sinead sung a Phil Coulter original *Scorn Not His Simplicity* for her fourth album *Universal Mother.*

Here's *The Shores Of The Swilly.* You will have to ignore the video, though. The clips are from *Final Fantasy VII.*

Sinead O'Connor's *One More Day* From The Cate Blanchett Starrer *Veronica Guerin*

This is the theme song of the film *Veronica Guerin*, starring Cate Blanchett. This song plays during the funeral of the protagonist, and segues to the CBB of the film, if I'm not mistaken.

Never mind the video though, the uploader used clips from *The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King.*

Thanks to Neboola for uploading this video on YouTube. The source after the jump.

I Love U, Torrent

I love Torrent. It makes rare films and music readily available.

I don't feel guilty downloading them because I only download those that:
1. I already own in other formats. Like, if I have the tape already, I feel it's okay to download the mp3.
2. are hard to find. I've been looking for Neil Jordan's The Butcher Boy since it was released in 1997, but I can't find it. So I had to resort to downloading it.
3. I had the cd / dvd of, but lost it.

So with those in mind, I downloaded:
1. Pretty in Pink - I was too young when it was released. And none of my older sisters wanted to being me along.
2. Sixteen Candles - Another John Hughes - Molly Ringwald teamup. A landmark in the teenybopper genre.
3. The Black Album - fan-compiled collection of Sinead O'Connor's little-known recordings.
4. Just Because I'm a Woman - tribute album for Dolly Parton. Select Dolly Parton originals sung by younger artists including Norah Jones, Alison Krauss and Sinead O'Connor.
5. Sunset Boulevard - the BW original. Who can ever forget, "All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my closeup"?
6. Carne Tremula - damn! It must be karma. I downloaded the version with no English subtitle. Bueno, comprendo Espanol.
7. Flight of the Navigator - I watched it over and over on TV when I was small. Now I can't wait to watch it again for the first time in, well, almost twenty years. I hope the magic is still there.
8. The Butcher Boy - directed by Neil Jordan, with Stephen Rea as the lead. Here, Sinead O'Connor plays the foul-mouthed Virgin Mary. I think it was banned when word got around that it was violent, and it attacked the Catholic Church.

And I'm presently downloading:
1. Summer Lovers - with Daryl Hannah. I don't know why I feel the need to watch it. I was very young when I saw the trailer on TV. I don't remember much of it anymore, but twenty or so years later, it still haunts me. Weird.
2. Fast Times at Ridgemont High - It stars Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Phoebe Cates. This is the film where Phoebe Cates took her top off--nerd boys's ultimate fantasy.
3. Clan of the Cave Bear - a movie based on a Jean M. Auel novel. The film stars Daryl Hannah. I saw it in one of those rundown movie houses in Quiapo. And I thought it was good. I want to see it again.

I wish Mga Mata ni Angelita and Rocco - Ang Batang Bato were also available for download.
