Staying Alive

Last night, while we were airing live on Cine Chichirya on dzUP, I thought I made a boo-boo when I confidently let out a little known fact that...
...Staying Alive, the 1983 sequel to the hit Saturday Night Fever, was actually directed by... ta-daaan!... Sylvester "Rambo / Rocky" Stallone...
...only to be shut down. Because supposedly it was directed by John Badham, according to the website one of my co-hosts was looking at at the time. Not John Rambo.

Of course it bothered me. Knowing I had been probably wrong all along. Worse, I said something stupid on live radio. Whatever's left of my puny credibility was nuked.

So, I searched the net myself, and voila!

Yay! Now, I can sleep again.

Sluggish

...and in desperate need of a cup of coffee to perk me up.

Barbra Is On MGM Channel... Proving Once And For All Why She's The Ultimate Gaycon!

Every time I write, I always need some noise in the background. Recently, it's the noise of the TV that helps me get through whatever I need to finish.

Anyway, right now, what's playing on MGM Channel is Yentl. And I must say I'm a little distracted.

I have yet to see this film in full. And now, as I take a glance at the TV every so often, it's becoming clear why Barbra Streisand is the ultimate Gaycon.

Hahaha!

Race and Intelligence

On Sunday, 20 February 2011, History Channel premiers a special episode "Race and Intelligence : Science's Last Taboo."

It seeks to answer the question that can't be asked aloud-- is there a connection between race and intelligence?

Kinda makes me feel like singing--
You're a little bit racist.
Well, you're a little bit, too.
Interesting.

My Friday Night Gmik

While most people are out getting drunk, having a feast, and connecting with other people, I'm home working.

Wait. It's not as bad as it sounds. So, let me rephrase it...

I'm home doing something I love-- writing :)

Full Moon... Yey!

I just noticed that the moon is full.

I have always loved it when the moon looks perfectly round. A giant silver coin in the sky. A luminescent marble. And it casts its ghostly white light all over the world... Or, at least over the parts of the Earth where it's nighttime.

Deadlines and Lifelines

I'm not complaining about deadlines. Not anymore. Not like before.

But they still make me cringe. And shut me up. And make me [look like I'm] think[ing]. They still paralyze me.

I need to change my perspective, methinks. I should stop looking at them as deadlines. That's so negative. I should start thinking of them as lifelines-- to having the opportunity to do the things I like doing, to not being idle... And on the practical side, to augment my income.

Yeah.

I have deadlines for this weekend again... Yey!
